Description

The Parliament passes a law prohibiting travellers from taking Australian flora on aeroplanes.

As officers of the Executive, customs officials administer the law by searching travellers' bags and detaining offenders. Police may lay charges.

The Judiciary reads the Act of Parliament and examines the process of detaining the offender, including hearing evidence from the police. The judge determines whether the law has been broken.
