Description

This photograph is a proclamation signed by the Governor-General and the Prime Minister. It says the following:

I, QUENTIN ALICE LOUISE BRYCE, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting under section 5 of the Constitution:

  • prorogue the Parliament from 4.59pm on Monday, 19 July 2010, until Saturday, 21 August 2010; and
  • dissolve the House of Representatives at 5pm on Monday 19 July 2010.
