Youth programs
Rotary Adventures in Citizenship (RAIC)
A week long program in Canberra in August each year hosted by Rotary Australia for secondary students from around Australia to thoroughly learn about all parliamentary and democratic processes. A large part of the program is facilitated by our educators at Parliament House and includes role-play, guest speakers and other hands-on activities. Students also have the opportunity to meet their local members of parliament.

Heywire
An annual competition run by the ABC for 16 – 22 year olds who live in rural and regional Australia to create and share their stories, ideas and opinions. Winners take part in a Youth Issues Forum and related activities in Canberra each February. We provide customised role-play programs for participants as part of their program.

National Youth Science Forum
A twelve day program held in Canberra each January run by the Australian National University for year 11 students with an interest in science, engineering or technology. We provide customised role-plays for the program participants to promote the link between science and parliamentary process.

National Schools Constitutional Convention
A week long program held in Canberra each March run by the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations for year 11 and 12 students to increase their knowledge and understanding of the Australian Constitution. The main event is a forum on a topic relating to the Constitution. We provide various customised activities for the students, depending on the forum topic.

Talkback Classroom
A program for senior secondary students to engage with parliamentarians and key public figures, and to investigate issues of national and international importance.

Reserve Bank of Australia Hearing
We facilitate the attendance of senior secondary students at the Reserve Bank Hearings, held twice a year in various capital cities. Most suitable for economics students.
