The Parliamentary Education Office (PEO) has created an exciting new education resource which reveals the real business behind our federal Parliament. For example, do you know the difference between the Parliament and government? Do you know how members and senators are elected? Do you understand how laws are made? Do you know who is responsible for water supply, rubbish collection or national parks? … If you were the federal Treasurer, how would you distribute public money? Peeling back Parliament is a large magazine format publication, designed and written for students in upper primary, lower secondary and their teachers. The resource covers six topics, each with a double page spread, that are central to understanding parliament.
