Description
This diagram illustrates state and territory law at work.
State/territory parliaments make the law, state/territory
executives put the law into action, which results in state/territory
services in the community. For example:
- Hospital law is created by state/territory parliaments, and put into
action by state/territory executives through the Department of
Health, which results in services such as health diagnosis.
- Railway law is created by state/territory parliaments, and put into
action by state/territory executives through the Department of Transport,
which results in services such as public transport.
- School law is created by state/territory parliaments, and put into
action by state/territory executives through the Department of Education,
which results in services such as schools and teachers.
- Wildlife law is created by state/territory parliaments, and put into
action by state/territory executives through the Department of Wildlife,
which results in services such as wildlife protection.
- Police & order law is created by state/territory parliaments, and put
into action by state/territory executives through the Department
of Corrective Services, which results in services such as the police
force.
