After the Clerk has read out the rules, say: |
Clerk, read the title of the Bill. |
| Then say: | I call the Minister for _____________________to introduce the Bill. |
Call on senators to deliver their speeches in turn.
When the time for debating is over, adjourn the chamber. |
I call the Shadow Minister for _______________________. I call Senator _____________________ (use first or second name).
Order! The Senate is now adjourned. |
| When the debate begins again, choose senators to speak in turn. | Stand if you wish to speak. I call Senator ______________________ (use first or second name). |
When the time for debating is over say: |
