How to be a committee member

This template contains a series of short answer questions to help a member prepare questions for each witness or witness group giving evidence to a House of Representatives committee. Amongst other things, it encourages the member to know who will be presenting evidence, to anticipate the position of each group and to plan questions that will elicit new information.

How to be a committee senator

How to be a witness at a House of Representatives committee

How to be a witness at a Senate committee

How to write a committee report

This template is a guided report-writing activity. It demonstrates how a committee might write a report at the end of an inquiry. Amongst other things, it encourages the chair of the committee to acknowledge the evidence provided by various witnesses and to make recommendations for consideration of the Parliament.
